The Buzzcocks Playing Live Online

February 3rd, 2009 by

The Buzzcocks–besides having a unforgettable name–are one of the few, if not the only, Manchester bands still alive and together from the time when punk was beginning and the indie concept was sprouting. They were those who Joy Division looked at and said “we can be better,” which means they are not as magnificent as Joy Division was, but they did a good job. After all, having to run next to Joy Division would have made it difficult or even impossible to shine for many, but they did it. They were in the right place at the right time, doing the right music.

Now they will be in many places at the same time thanks to the great FabChannel. Next Wednesday the 11th they will be playing in Amsterdam and FabChannel is going to stream their concert live, as they do graciously for many other bands.

We have seen already some of the live shows in FabChannel. It’s not working very well on this side of the Great Firewall, but it’s worth a try. You can also see old concerts like one from the great Calexico, who we really like.

If know of a way to watch FabChannel concerts with better quality don’t be selfish: share it with us.

Here is the countdown to the Buzzcocks’ concert. Take your time surfing around FabChannel and you will find some nice concerts to watch.
