Strawberry Festival takes Beijing in May

March 19th, 2009 by

With the Midi Festival’s leaving Beijing all over the news, Modern Sky (China’s biggest rock label), is getting ready to put on the first outdoor Strawberry Festival. Modern Sky has already produced the Modern Sky Music Festival every fall since 2007, which they are now apparently moving to spring, we think.

The line up of bands performing at the Strawberry Music Festival will be announced soon so far Modern Sky has announced there will be around sixty Chinese and international bands performing on three stages.

The festival is scheduled for May 1st to May 3rd in Beijing’s Tongzhou Canal Park. So for all of those canceling their trips to Beijing because of the migration of the Midi Festival: do not despair, do not kick the beer cans, do not unpack the backpack, do not cancel your Facebook groups calling for partners to enjoy the ride to Beijing, you still have rock reasons to get to Beijing.
