On April 20th Gorillaz released their documentary Bananaz. Directed by Ceri Levy, Bananaz was filmed throughout the lifespan of Gorillaz’s; from 2000 to 2006 every step of the band’s growing process was captured resulting in this 120 min documentary.

Murdoc, 2D, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs’ birth, history and madness are shown in Bananaz, together with guests and friends who passed through this virtual band including Dennis Hopper, De la Soul, Ibrahim Ferrer, Dangermouse, Dan the Automator, D12, Booty Brown and Neneh Cherry.
