Classic Heroes, Bowie and China Girl.

This is a classic from one of the heroes of music: Mr David Bowie. Here he goes about another classic, the Chinese lady; although it has been said that the real meaning of the song involves a different heroin.

“China Girl” was composed by Bowie and Iggy Pop and released for the first time on Iggy Pop’s debut album The Idiot on 1977. In 1983 David Bowie included it in his album Let’s Dance, sharing the royalties with Iggy to help him escape from near bankruptcy.

The video, banned in many countries for its nudity scenes, was directed by David Mallet and filmed in Melbourne’s Chinatown and Sidney and it features actress Geeling Ng.
