I just saw that Sandy Lam is playing in Shanghai in May. Cheap tickets are already sold out, so there’s not much time left to get to go, unless you are up to spend over one thousand Rmb for a concert.
Sandy Lam, originally from Ningbo, became signed with CBS Sony on 1984, then on 1991 she became much popular with her album Home Again Without You. Then she moved to Hong Kong, and pretty much that was it, she joined the mandopop divas club.
We don’t really hype much mandopop, or pop in general, because most of it is pretty easy to forget really, but there are some few pop artists that are real artists. That extends to mandopop of course, so there’s Sandy Lam, or Faye Wong, or of course, Teresa Teng.
This concert of Sandy Lam should be pretty cool, her concerts are fully produced, lots of performers, lights, dancers, and of course Sandy Lam singing.
Now see if you agree with me.
