This Week's Beats

We got lot of new music this week, and there are these releases that we didn’t published on Layabozi because I thought it could be redundant information since is already published somewhere else, but after talking with many different friends yesterday, I realized is not redundant. I forget that not everybody is listening to music from dawn to dawn. Always learning. We might start weekly summaries  of the music we like that’s been around the big intergalactic music media net. Let’s see how this evolve.

Jack White, superhero of music, released a video for his song “Love Interruption”, from Blunderbluss his new album to be relased on April 24th.

The video was directed by himself, and includes the performance of Ruby Amanfu (voice and guitar), Brooke Waggoner (piano), and Emily Bowland (clarinet)

“Love Interruption” is a nice soft blues, plus Jack White is a machine of production that’s very alike Midas.

SubCulture’s favorite, Kode9 guested on the radio show/podcast hosted by Scratcha DVA on Download it. Kode9’s set starts in the minute 91.

Waxpoetics celebrated their ten years anniversary and 50th issue with an amazing mix produced by Dam Funk featuring only Prince’s music. Pretty legendary stuff.

And the release of the week was definitely the super popular but not pop Burial EP Kindred. Kindred spread out like a piece of hot bread in a post apocalyptic town.  Listen to Kindred or  buy it on Hyperdub.

And in case you missed it, check our Valentine’s Aftermath for more music released this week.
