Behind The Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack

Slumdog Millionaire is already at your friendly corner Layabozi › Edit — WordPressdvd spot, for sure. We have already watched it and liked it a lot; some of us are loving fans of Danny Boyle and his quest to tell the perfect story of a nerd saving the day, the subject of his career until now.

Mr. Boyle has a very delicate sense in his soundtracks. The most successful to date was Trainspotting, but if you are a fan maybe you also liked those from Sunshine, 28 Days Later, Shallow Grave, or The Beach, great movies too.

These days, with Oscar talk going around, Slumdog Millionaire has been in the news, not only because of the film itself but also the great soundtrack. Soundtracks are a great subject and we’ll be back on it soon, but for now, if you haven’t watched the movie, we recommend you do it. To tempt you, there’s a great second part to the toilet trip from Trainspotting (well, as great as tripping in toilets could be of course). Getting back to the soundrack, the explanation for its success is Mr. A. R. Rahman. Here is a good article about him and the soundtrac, whic will be in the running for three Oscars next month.
